Principles of Diamagnetic Matter

All materials are influenced varyingly by the presence of a magnetic field.

Permanent magnets have persistent magnetic fields caused by ferromagnetism. That is the strongest and most familiar type of magnetism.

Paramagnetism is a form of magnetism where certain materials are attracted by an externally applied magnetic field.

Diamagnetism is the property of an object or material that causes it to create a magnetic field in opposition to an externally applied magnetic field.

Water is a diamagnetic matter - which means that in the presence of a magnetic field, water moves in the opposite direction to the magnetic field. Bodily fluids consist of 70% water and are therefore subject to this principle.
